I was called to inspect a fire pump at a commercial building that was not producing the required pressure levels. Upon inspection, I found that the pump was clogged with debris, causing the issue. I cleaned the strainer and checked for any other obstructions in the intake line. After clearing the blockage, the pump was able to produce the necessary pressure and flow. I provided the client with a service report and maintenance recommendations to prevent future issues.

Will need to investigate as to why it’s shut and will need to air pressure test to see if ok to refill. Water Flow Device is not connected to any alarm nor electric bell. Gauge is dated 2012 and will need To be replaced. Riser is located in rear bedroom closet of apartment 4 in Building K. SYSTEM WILL BE RED TAGGED.

Alarm Systems and Sprinkler Inspection Annual Fire Alarm Inspection Annual Sprinkler Inspection (3) Inoperable Deficiency for Vista & Firelite Vista 20P with a 32FB & MS9200: FACP had an active Comm Fail and DACT Trouble prior Inspection. No signals went to monitoring station during Inspection. Need to investigate to see if it’s a dialer or phone line issue.
